Antananarivo–Ivato International Airport: There is no useful onward flight to Moramanga. Take an airport taxi into Antananarivo first (about 35 minutes in normal traffic; roughly MGA 50,000 is a published guide price), then use a taxi-brousse toward Moramanga. Reported public transport fare is about MGA 10,000 and the road journey typically takes 3–4 hours, but allow longer for traffic, rain and loading stops. A pre-arranged private car is the sensible upgrade if arriving late or carrying valuable gear; do not gamble on making a same-evening connection after a delayed international flight.
Moramanga railway station: The station is in the town rather than at a separate transport hub, so walk to a central hotel if your luggage is manageable or take a locally negotiated taxi. Treat rail as a bonus, not a timetable-led arrival plan: Madagascar passenger services can be infrequent and changeable. There is no dependable published fixed transfer fare to quote.
