The Bahamas is open to leisure tourism and visitor numbers are strong, with arrivals reported at record or near-record levels in 2025–2026. Travel is functioning normally, but official advisories consistently flag crime, especially in Nassau and Freeport, plus hurricane-related disruption risk. This is not a closed destination, but it does warrant caution rather than a carefree approach.
